About the Event:
The Cape Town Zombie Walk is a vibrant annual event where hundreds of creatively dressed zombie enthusiasts take part in a free, family-friendly daytime walk through the city. Following the walk, there is an exclusive 18+ Afterparty held at sunset, featuring music, entertainment, and a lively crowd.

We are looking for a skilled freelance videographer to capture the energy, costumes, and atmosphere of both the daytime walk and the evening Afterparty through engaging video content.

Role Overview:
As a freelance videographer, you will:

• Film the daytime Zombie Walk, capturing participant highlights, group shots, and candid moments across all ages
• Record the 18+ Afterparty, showcasing the party vibe, guests, entertainment, and sunset atmosphere
• Produce high-quality edited videos suitable for promotional use on our website, social media, and marketing materials

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture diverse footage that tells the story of both the walk and the Afterparty
• Work independently and creatively to find compelling video content throughout the event
• Collaborate with event organizers to prioritize key moments and interviews if needed
• Deliver edited videos within agreed deadlines after the event

Requirements:

• Proven experience in event videography with a strong portfolio or showreel
• Own professional video equipment, including cameras and stabilizers suitable for both daylight and low-light conditions
• Ability to navigate crowded and dynamic environments
• Strong storytelling and editing skills
• Professionalism and excellent communication skills
• Availability for the full event duration (daytime walk + evening Afterparty)
• Must be 18+ to cover the Afterparty
